  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I know the delivery says "In internal testing with an estimated end of Summer '08 release"... Well summer's over?! :D Is it shipping any day soon? Got my email (yeepeeeeeeeeee) and would hate to order the non-pro LCD and have the Pro available while I get delivered!... Other people got their email and wondering too? Didn't want to bother Red with a call or email since someone must have already... Thanks...

It is 85 degrees and sunny here at RED, totally still summer :)

Remember, we deliver backordered items first before shipping realtime with orders. So, if you need a monitoring option with your camera delivery, you are looking at the RED LCD and RED EVF. The RED PRO LCD would be delivered later on once your name is up in queue for backorder fulfillment.

Yeah I know all that, just a question, last update was aug 25th, my birthday btw, and things could have changed like, today or whatever... Ok, I'll order the other lcd and evf, cool...

Summer's over when kids are back in school! :bleh:
 
Had the same question with my order. I asked Big Jon, he said that if I hadn't ordered before it would be at least 30 to 60 days from the time they ship your camera. So in the meantime I guess I will have to go with the LCD and EVF, which is also good news, to have an EVF!!!!
 
Yeah, I'm astonished to get the EVF too after all the mayhem around it... The other LCD is okay too, I worked with it and it's really good, and I guess it's a good backup to buy it anyway, even when/if you order a 7'' LCD as well for later...
 
Even if the Pro LCD was ready, it would be better not to ship them with new camera deliveries. Because what then would they do with all those non-Pro LCD's?

Just kidding. I'm waiting patiently for my Pro LCD too.... :)
 
We actually are just starting to receive our first production-run RED PRO LCDs. They will be going through IQC and then we will start fulfilling backorders. See, told you, Summer 2008 :)

Can you use two LCD's at the same time by plugging one into the EVF port?
 
... and with nine full days of summer remaining!
