Hey all,

Does anyone know if the RED batts are back in stock and are getting out to customers, according to the store they are but last i heard they were on the infamous backorder?

Also, does anyone have any issues charging these with other make (3rd party) v-lock chargers? The store says need to be charged with the RED charger.

Thanks all.

Hey Brigham,

I ordered 3 and they all arrived with my camera about two weeks ago.

Seems like they're caught up.

Brigham,
I have a Globalmediapro V-lock charger and it charges the batteries fine....no problems at all......
i ordered 3 extra batts about 2 months ago and they all arrived as expected...
Cheers
Paul

Yeah i have 5 Global Media pro batts with my RED, they work fine.

Don't know where i read they were on backorder, maybe some thread somewhere from way back. Anyway, good to know.

The only reason i'm going to get a couple is that i'm kinda getting sick of the just dropping out without warning.

But i must say...RED Batts 140wh US$450 each...GMP 160wh NZ$300...it's a hard bloody choice when you get so much more bang for your buck with GMP's...

The thing I like one the globalmediapro batteries is that they have a built-in D-Tap, which can be very handy when you just need to power some accessories (video receiver, Follow focus, monitor,...).
But ther Red batteries, and especially the Red chargers seem to be more solid than the GMP ones.
