Okay, three more to go to hit our goal by years end!

Saturday our 6th "all RED" independent feature film SPLINTERHEADS wraps - but tomorrow principal photography starts on AS GOOD AS DEAD.

The character driven thriller stars Andie Macdowell, Cary Elwes, Matt Dallas, Nicole Ansari and Brian Cox.

Avi Lerner is exec. producing with NU IMAGE handling distribution.

We actually shot sequences from this film earlier in the year due to complex actor schedules, then the production got stalled when a significant portion of financing fell through - but the producers managed to get it all back together.

DP is Frank Barrera - http://www.frankbarrera.com/

I'll try hard to get my blog (OffhollywoodBuzz.com) up before I leave for IBC so I can start to shamelessly post behind the scenes pics and info -

Hey Mark, great news!
I can't imagine what a mess on your desktop...

Btw, are you come to Amsterdam?
Please, let me offer you the biggest beer that you ever seen...
Cheers, Elcurado.

Hey Elcurado

Have a drink for me too. I cant come to Amsterdam.
I have to much to do and will become a father right around that time. I had a blast last year. So maybe it's gonna be the NAB next year.

Have a good time guys.
Cheers
Tim

No worries - Tim I wish you all the best as well!! (I have a three-year old boy who puts a smile on my face every day - and another son due in just 10 weeks!!)

Being a father is the greatest thing in the world - simply amazing.

And third cheers to RED for making all this possible (except the babies...)!

Mark, when you say "our" 7th Red feature, what do you mean, if I can ask? Is the company involved in the financing or selection of these projects? Is Offhollywood a production company for hire? Is the company's participation largely one of providing camera rental and expertise and Red post services?

In a word, what exactly does Offhollywood do? Just curious, you never know....

In this specific context, I mean that we have provided Red cameras, technical support and post production as a complete package.

3 of these 7 feature films we do have a financial interest in - and were involved in the financing.

We ARE a production company for hire.
We do develop, produce and co-produce feature films.
We rent Red cameras and provide our own (staff) Union (local 600) DIT or non-union DITs.
We do provide post production services to companies and individuals who own their own cameras or rent them elsewhere.
We do a tremendous amount of R&D, alpha and beta testing for many companies - hardware and software. (currently we are testing 8 different software applications that are in pre-release - and three hardware products)

In a word? That's really tough. In one word ... I would have to say ...

FACILITATE

We create content, and we provide services and technology based solutions for companies that create content.

I think the broad strokes are on our website www.OffhollywoodStudios.com - I will also be launching a very informal, photo driven "behind the scenes" blog on Monday - at www.OffhollywoodBuzz.com - I'll post when it's live.
