Hi!

Does the Panasonic BTLH 900 monitor works with RED? We want to use it as a director's monitor - just for checking the shot live, for performances etc. No fancy stuff.

Did anybody try it before?

Thanks!

It works great. I believe we sold Off Hollywood a few for their cameras. And a lot of other folks.

I have the 17" panny for the director and the panny 80w i believe for me.
works great.

both from abel by the way. nice folks

Works like a charm. Really nice for circular dolly track and hand held, the director can hold it in his hands and follow along.

If you choose to power it via D-Tap make damn sure you watch the polarity when plugging it into the RED Battery Plate. I haven't made that mistake but I have heard of a few that have.

The real trick set up will be wireless and AB batteries. That way the director can rome without being tethered.

Best,

Steve

For that we have the new WEVI Cam-Wave HD transmitter/receiver system. It works great and is brilliantly paired with the LH900A. The Panasonic monitor comes with an Anton Bauer battery mount on the back and Abel is the first to have the Cam-Wave HD in AB mount as well as V-lock. Or you can use an adaptor plate to mount a V-lock unit on the Panasonic monitor. We sell all of this and have it in stock now.

For anyone interested in trying them out, Abel now has the Cam-Wave HD in AB mount available for rent in both our New York and Burbank offices. It's one of my new favorite pieces of kit, right next to our new set of baby Optimos!

LH-900 is my favorite small monitor. I own several.
Yes, I too bought them from Abel. Top-notch vendor for me!
shhh... Mitch, slow down and let the rest of us shill a bit for you... ;)
I would love to see the new wireless system.
Cheers,
Harry

Harry, come by any time to see the WEVI Cam-Wave HD. And feel free to shill for us whenever you like.

BTW, Steve at Du-All has a Cam-Wave HD in V-lock and as mentioned the line of Panasonic monitors just like we do. Sharin' the love, Steve.

The btlh 900A and B does not work in 720 50p at the preview sdi, but work correct in playback 1080p at the same preview sdi out.

Huh? The 900A works. In fact it should be pointed out that you must get the 900A (not the earlier 900) to use with the RED.
