So I'm a little confused about something.

Saving a 'Preset' in Red Alert is a ".RLX" file
Saving a look 'Preset' in Red Ciné is a ".rcc" file but in RedRushes if you want to add a "look source" it's looking for a "RSX" file format....

How do I save a One Light Look in Red Cine or Red Alert and apply it to all my footage in Red Rushes? Anyone? Anyone?

Can someone explain to me what the difference between the RLX and RCC is at leased?

Thanks!

Hi Dan

From what I understand, the RSX file is automatically created when you start doing corrections in REDALERT.

What you are asking for is something myself and others have been asking for as well...

From a DP perspective, this is the missing link to having easy control over looks.

Hope that helps.

It's really surprising there isn't more information out there on RA/RC/RRushes as even experienced Red camera users can easily mess up stunning original images. Often with no rhyme or reason due to inconsistencies of looks.
I'm happy to hand over the .R3D files to post on big budget shows (trusting post will do a better job than I will:-) but on low or no budget projects us camera guys are stuck with alot of trial and error to get the best useable images to the client for edit.

You can't really mess up your R3D files tho right? We are just adding LUTs to the R3Ds in Alert and Cine and then exporting.
