MATRIX System is able to grade native REDCODE RAW

CHROME-Imaging, systems for film and television post-production, announced today that all its software systems will now support footage captured with RED One cameras.
With the release of RED’s SDK, users of MATRIX-System will be able to grade native REDCODE RAW™ files, improving the workflows of feature film, broadcast programs and commercials shot on the RED One camera.

its all just well coded software..in time people like ADOBE will write this type of GPU based "realtime 2k and beyond" software and sell it for penny's on the dollar.

It's time for a revolution on the post color field I can feel the wind already.

Yeah, people [artists] should matter more than tools and $$$.

I'd prefer to hire a 125k $ colorist than to pay for a 125k $ machine.

And there's always a small chance to just... convince the colorist , while you can never convince the machine.

I speak with Dan Tatut offently about Matrix product. I've always had a detail and fast response, he is very friendly like the other team partner. The team of programmer is very solid, they give more than a color grading tools, but a complete system where you can conform (from EDL and from XML FCP also), edit, paint and scratch removal (sorry Lucas . And off course it's a complete 32 bit RGB color correction with as many secondary with shape as your imagination can grade...And you have the I/O in SD, HD and HSDL 2K and 4K in full RGB 444 color space, you can plug a Cintel telecine and play...The interface is completly design to be run on CP100 control pannel so any colorist feels "at home" in a short period. Enterly GPU too and design to run with the very last GPU quadro FX 5600. What can we ask more? RED support? Done. Software version only at decent price? Done. Integration with different offline editing solution? Done. Very fast product for client driven supervision session? Done. Save some buck like I do, 2009 tends to be a very special year...

With Matrix System DI2K and 2K,
2K Full Aperture(and less resolution) 16Bit Realtime Playback.
HD 32 Bit realtime Playback.

With Matrix System 4K,
4K Full Aperture Realtime playback.
