Just a quick sample of some of the work we have been doing this summer.

This was before we had a chance to upgrade to B16. The grain in the video is because it was dusk and we had to go up to 640 ISO. We are absolutely loving the 120fp slow motion. I just reviewed a shot of a full grown grizzly sprinting towards the camera in 120fps, this camera is simple amazing, it has given us the ability to capture movement in a way we didn't think was possible.

fantastic shot

Jesse,
Kennan was about 50-75 feet away from the bear. I am not sure, but I believe he used the Nikon 70-200 2.8 lens. That is what he shoots most of the time right now. Not the new one, by the old version with the aperture ring still on it. (they are VERY hard to find right now).

If Kennan had gone wider, you would have seen closer to 15 grizzly bears down the river trying to catch salmon as they go upstream.

Beautiful, wanna see more!!!!!!!!!

Drew,
There difference isn't that much difference between the 70-200 vs 80-200 from my personal experience with both lenses(both on the RED and on a D2X) Kennan could of actually used the 80-200 for this shot, I know he has at least two of them. In a few situations I can tell the difference, but they seem really close about 99% of the time.

Looks good in slow-mo.

Was this shot at Brooks Falls, by chance? I spent a few days around that area a few years ago and took tons of nice stills. Bears catching salmon and more. Had a run-in with a cub on a trail that spooked us a bit because he wouldn't quit following us and we never knew just where momma bear was at.

hey guys the link didnt work for me...did I miss something

Didn't seem to work for me either but I think it just hadn't downloaded yet. Works fine in QuickTime and iTunes. Make sure you download and don't watch in the browser as it's more predictable off the drive.

That's pretty scary. Glad you got out okay. If momma bear thought you were at all a threat to the little cub it might have been all over.
