Hey all.
I'm in a search for a good AE book.

I'm not a newbie, I can do my stuff.
I don't need to learn about layers, comps and basic functioning.

I'd like something a bit more in depth, maybe analyzing how certain results can be achieved.

I was searching for something that went over 3D compositing as well, but I think that's more 3rd party (with Boujou and alikes).

The best book I could find was this one...

Anyone has something to say about it?
Maybe another recommendantion?!

Thanks guys.

I would recommend Lynda.com. You'll get more out of the 24-hour trial, if you watch 8 hours of AE videos than you will out of ANY book. Also, it's only $25 per month and you can cancel after a month.

Creative AE looks good, but by looking at the index I know everything in there. Good for basics though.

Lynda beyond the basics looks good and the Mark Christiansen (I might go with it) one looks good too (thanks Fredrik).

Thanks red users!

:)

Impagliazzo,

Adobe After Effects Studio Techniques by Mark Christiansen is the best AE book there is for Visual Effects type work.

Other books are good for motion graphics work, but I don't know them very well.

The After Effects Basic Training at VideoCoPilot.net is good intro:

And all the other Tutorials at VideoCopilot.net are good too:
