Not really a RED issue but I have the Element Technica BOB. I am not getting a live output from the 720p output.

I am using the ordinary BNC cable and connecting it to an ordinary studio monitor.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find any troubleshooting on their site. I am sending them an e-mail now. I just thought someone on this forum would have some tips. Thanks

Yes . You need to check what signal you are sending out. Is is depends of youre monitor.Go to Setup Menu - Monitor- HD-SDI and change 59,94 to 50 . or 50 to 59.94
Also Check Setup-Monitor-Preview- chenge it to Video 720p , not Menus DVI .
Also just try with standart RED One Mini BNC to BNC cable . You have it . If it will be same sow it looks like camera problem , if not BOB problem .

stupid question. Is your monitor HD-SDI Enabled?
Not a stupid question but this may be a stupid answer - I thought the 720p was to output to ordinary studio monitors with BNC input. (Ok bury me if I'm being stupid)

ET rep told me to check if 720p works without the BOB. Used the RED cables and there is still no output.

My settings are all correct in the monitor menu setup.

what model is your monitor? if its a regular NTSC monitor and not HD
you will not see a picture.

Thanks to all for the clarification.

I will have to invest in a good location monitor. Suggestions welcome and I'll also check other threads.
