After a long wait for our EVF, we finally got to try out our Element Technica EVF mount.
Most of it seems solid to a fault, however one connection (where the 6-inch hunk of iris rod slips over the block which bolts it to the slide adjuster) is alarmingly loose: the weight of the EVF can spin it freely on this block, and it can be pulled right off the rod. There's even a residue of oil in there, as if it's supposed to spin freely. This basically makes it impossible to have the EVF positioned any higher than the 6-inch rod.
The mount arrived sans instructions, so we have to ask: Is this normal? Did we get a lemon? Anyone have a fix? :help:
