Beta Build 16 v3.2.4 - Available on RED.com/support (password-protected download).

Changes since RED-ONE Beta Build 16 v3.2.1 firmware:
* Additional codec optimization
* Boot up logo relocated to bottom of screen
* Time Code output enabled on the LEMO 5 pin timecode connector

Thanks, BC

Thanks, Brent.

Looking forward to using it.

Will the new build help with the playback of 3.2.1 files? (I had more playback issues with 3.2.1 last night.)

While this thread is still fresh, I just wanted to ask about the option (in future builds) of 1080psf, in addtion to 1080p.

It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice because it would open up some equipment and hardware options for those of us that already own certain gear. In my case, it would solve the issues of not being able to "digitize" through the HD-SDI port of the Matrox Axio LE.

Anyway... thanks, Brent (and Red) for all the hard work!

All outputs on the RED-ONE are, and will be, true progressive. See the other threads on this subject for the background on this.

Thanks guys.

I'm also interested in the issue with the playback bug. Apart from camera shut down during playback (few times), we had the Red lcd screen turn green when the camera was connected through HDMI to Dell 2408.

We just finished a 5 day shoot on 3.2.1. No codec errors.

Thanks, Stuart. Maybe I can find a converter.

It would be really nice to have the logo smaller and in a corner that's out of the way of the image. A pretty little logo in the corner...that's what we need!

later...
No, they just took the logo and put it on the bottom center of the screen.

This camera must be getting fully developed if logo placement is high on the todo list!

Yeah, that made me laugh when I read that. :poster_stupid:

This camera is amazing! I can't stop applauding these RED dudes.
Good shit just keeps on coming and coming... It's like christmas every 7 days!

When's it going to end! (never I hope)

GO RED GO! You guys are God's (of image capture)

Not trying to pull things OT... but I've been looking for some info on the usability of this DELL MONITOR for awhile.

OMEN, can you tell me a couple of things:

1) Are you getting the full menus, histograms, and surround view that the LCD has?
2) Is the 720p Live image pixel for Pixel, or is there some stretching involved?
3) Does Build 16 1080p Playback work? Full screen?
4) Is the image quality consistent with the RED LCD/EVF?
5) Is the large size a burden to transport?

Thanks.

Or better yet . . . translucent watermark?

Just got back to hotel room, 1781 is working on short film "Coal" directed by David Rosefeld. Sound guy has been pestering me about this jam syncing the timecode so I am sure he will be happy. MOre to come soon.

Brent, RED team...thanks!

Does this build address some of the TIMELAPSE issues that occur with some of the longer exposure times in timelapse mode?

David

Please tell me that the initializing logo is somehow smaller and not just moved to the bottom of the frame. Please.
