Just wrapped a few weeks ago on an all Red indie feature. I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. It seems that the midwest craves indie film production.... I was a bit suprised to find my self on the front page of the IOWA review.

About the production:
"Winning Favor" is an indie basketball film based on a true story. It is set to be completed in early 2009.
About the Red:
There were no major problems with the Red during the entire shoot (I even switched to build 16 halfway through:weight_lift: ) It was a pleasure working with the system and I don't plan on using anything else for films like this.

For some screen grabs and clips from the film, please refer to my blog

Shame about those false 911 calls on the rise...

Good thing you drew the big red circle and arrow, wouldnt have been able to spot you otherwise!

Glad to hear this went well for you, have fun in Africa!

Your silly. I actually just got back from Rwanda with 10 hours of footage to cut into a 10 minute promo for a non-profit.:help:

Wow, how long is that going to take to go though?

Nice. Are those skates Element Technica?

I was having issues convincing the janitors that the skates..errr.... dollies... were OK for use on gym floors. I had to put a white piece of gaff tape with "PROFESSIONAL DOLLY SYSTEM" on it for them to buy it. Maybe Element Technica should put stickers on skates and sell them as a personal dolly system, with 15mm + 19mm support of course.

I was pretty diligent at logging the footage. I hope to have it all cut, polished and ready to go to DVD in 2 months. The Red wasn't actually used on the Rwanda non-profit gig, but a tape camera instead (for many reasons, but mostly because of size, cost and lack of crew) Next time I will use a mini-RED.

I do have to say that shooting aerials over the Rwandan hills is a blast with any camera.

Thats awesome!!! thanks for sharing.
