  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

oh wow. so they are about the same length as the 15mm sleeves then?

i have a ZUD going into the 15mm sleeve right now and i hate that silver.. i just want something black going into the sleeve and i dont want it to stick out the other side...

You can see in this photo the LCD arm attached to our Quick Spud mounted in one of our 15mm sleeves. It's an alternative to using our Hydra Clamp if you're not running top rods, but it still gives quick releasability of your LCD.

Ah yes, that's perfect. Funny how Zacuto uses black screws on their Zuds and you use silver ones.. I would take your spuds over Zacuto's because they are black, but I wish it was entirely black. Maybe I'll replace the screws... =]

Sorry to nitpick, I have everything I need and now I'm just going for aesthetics :sarcasm:

This looks great =] I'll be ordering some soon...
 
I got a hydra clamp and a few spuds. They are great and give me so many quick and easy options to mount my EVF and LCD and quick release them. The hydra clamp is a really well made and thought out piece of camera gear.

Also the Monstercine spuds seem to alot more sturdy than the Zacuto zuds that I have.

One of my Zacuto zuds BROKE yesterday when tightening the locking screw. I wasn't doing anything extreme either. I want Monstercine to make shorter spuds, the size of Zacutos. I am not the only one who has asked for this on the boards. Hopefully this can happen.. Also can you make your spuds with black screws, as long as I'm nit picking? ALL BLACK is the way to go.

Shorty spuds for use with Zacuto are coming soon. Can't promise a date yet because we're cranking hard to release our new Quick Keys, Quick Shoe Spud, Arri to Lemo power cables, plus the working prototypes of our Red Drive SATA extension cable, the "Black Box" Automatic CF card back-up device and our Quick Swap battery hot-swap module.

I do promise the shorties are coming Zak and we'll make sure you're on top of the list, with blackened stainless screws. Thanks for your support and keep up the rebellion!
 
WOW. When did you announce all these amazing new products? Last I read up on these boards you had a remote start stop and quick keys! red drive extension sounds great! Black box sounds pretty exciting too. Battery hot swap hell yeah.... quick shoe spud what is this? is there a thread I missed? hahaa.

The new products aren't officially announced yet... but they will be very soon, once we know they're solid and affordable for all.

The Quick Shoe Spud is a new 15mm spud for the Hydra with a shoe mount on the end for mics, etc.

We'll be doing a posting soon of new products so if anybody who's not already on our mailing list(private and never shared or sold) but wants to be, please send me an email at jim at monstercine dot com and we'll contact you first to order new products and possibly test for us.


We're currently wrapping up the manufacturing on the Quick Keys, Quick Shoe Spud, Arri to Lemo power cables, plus the working prototypes of our Red Drive SATA extension cable, the "Black Box" Automatic CF card back-up device and our Quick Swap battery hot-swap module.

AND the Monstercine Wireless Start-Stop Switch...
