really annoying banner ads

I've noticed in like the last 2 weeks or so, some of the banner ads on sites I regularly visit have become particularly annoying. There's one that has this constant chirping beep sound. one that wolf whistles, one that yacks on about Jessica fucking simpson "it's hotttt"

For the love of christ, is no one else bothered by this stuff? it's on this site too!

Sounds like you have a virus. Pages on Reduser have one single, tasteful and relevant banner ad on each page.

Unprotected PCs can get viruses that show unbelievably annoying ads.
One way to test if you have such a virus - open a fresh copy of your web browser, search for something on Google. If you see anything but Google's subtle Text-Only ads with your results, see a PC doctor.

I can't stand the ads. Especially when they drop down in front of a page like on IMDB. I pray that a browser comes along with the ability to annihilate these things.

IMDB doesn't have pop-up ads. You probably have a virus too.

Download Firefox 3. Install the Ad Block Plus plug in, you'll never see a banner or flash advert again.
