  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Allstar Dovetail plate preview

ALLSTAR,

Can the camera go on and off the plate forward and backward? Once I have my mattebox and follow focus on my camera they prevent the camera from sliding back off a plate. I have to take the camera off forward.

Do you have the little quick release button on the front of the plate like in the back?

Thanks,
Dusty

this is what I've been lotting for :) Can we buy one? How much is it? Please don't tell me it's over $400 :/

I just got mine today. It's working great on a Sachtler 18p head and fits nice and tight in the red bottom plate. One end has a stop screw and the other has a release button to keep it from sliding out of the plate.

Action on the pressure plate mechanism is a little tight but otherwise, I'm loving it.

Hi,

Those that are using it, is it long enough to allow balance with a long lens for example ?
Are there any specs on this ?

Thanks...

PM Allstar. He will give you the cost of the quick-release plate, optional top cheese plate, shipping and his PayPal details for payment. He's always been quick to reply to my messages.

I worked with ultra prime on my dovetail yesterday:

I love this dove tale, it's good price and works fine.
It's not ET's 19" Bridge plate with Arri Dovetail 2060 18".
But for the price, I'll get one more for steadicam rig.
It's so easy to switch to Redone's Shoulder Dovetale within one minute.
I'll recomend it.

PS. The Epic and the Scarlet won't work, I guess.

Mr. 范勝翔 sent me so quickly from Taiwan to New York within 3 days.
