  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey guys! I guess this is the best place to post. please move/Correct or delete this if it's pushing the bounds of this RED forum. :waaa:

I've been an avid member of the DVXuser forum and the contacts I have made through there have been wonderful. I've managed to build an extensive film music reel just by the DVX Festivals alone. Which... brings me here. I'm looking to take my work to the next level and what better place to do so than a community of high end filmmakers, directors, and gear heads.

My rates are pretty reasonable and flexible with every budget and project. Whether it's a short film or feature, I'll be happy to get you a quote or availability.

My music has been on many movie trailers, (Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix, HULK, Taking Lives) and I've scored many features and hundreds of short films. I've recorded my work with the San Fransisco Orchestra at Skywalker Ranch, and with the Seattle Symphonia at the Batsyr College in Seattle Washington.

and look/listen at projects I have done in the past. It's best described as Epic/Adventure/Action/Dark/Sad music with hints of intimacy.

The beautiful thing about these communities is the networking, so if any of you guys/girls producers/directors AC's/Grips have any referrals, that would be greatly appreciated. Specially since the RED is gracing its presence in theaters all over the world. I'd love to Grow with you guys.

In regards of posting reduser and dvx as a composer i think that is damn clever and i like to work with clever people.

Ya... A better place is one my personal favorites. It was a piece I wrote when my grandmother passed away.

ha!! Thanks Tom. X-Ray Dog is fun. They are the epitome and godfathers of Trailer Music. :)
 
Just for reference. Durban is awesome! Used him several times, his stuff always sounds epic.
 
Edgen, do you have any stuff lying around ready to go right now? I'm looking for a nice 6 or 7 minute piece to edit something to, but not looking to have anything custom scored.

Of course! I don't mind you guys using my music at all as long as it's not used commercially. What type of music are you looking for?

I like your music too dude... and I was having a listen to it as I was editing in the office.

One thing I noticed about your website is that if you leave it playing in the background the volume of the music creeps up... when I go back to the embedded music player and click in the it the volume drops back down.

Thanks Adam! I have no clue what's going on. Maybe it's a driver issue. I know I've had similar instances where I'll be in one program that accesses the drivers and when you tab back to a web browser, the audio levels shoot dramatically lower. Maybe that's the culprit? Otherwise, thats in my master plan to keep people listening. Its dynamic. :)

I'm not sure what's going on with this silly forum. I know I have to check a box every time I want to send a PM to someone. It's something like: "Send message to users even if they are not on your buddy list." Am I missing something in the user options?


Again, thanks everyone for the kind words. Another great thing is that i've gotten a pretty big network of other musicians and composers so If I'm not the one for your project, I'm sure I can point you in the right direction.

Great work. I have a question, if you don't mind. By any chance do you use the Vienna Symphonic Library? Also, can you do your own mastering? Oh, and finally, what is the best way to contact you privately? Through a message in your website? Or through this forum (PM's)?
