camera shuts-down!

when the camera operator tilt or pan using using the battery instead of the tripod handle, the camera shuts-down!

anybody else getting this?

There have been lots of issues with the battery plates. If I just bump my battery the cam will shut down, requiring the long re-boot. Needs work.

Sounds like a battery problem.

How new/old is that battery plate? You may need to break it in before it has a solid enough contact to use the battery as an operating handle.
And if breaking it in is not the key then you may want to consider sending it to us to evaluate.

I took a small screwdriver and gently widened the male connectors on the plate(#521 older model), that took care of it.

The pins in the battery mount can get, well, stuffed. I have had this happen many times before and it's a simple change of connectors to fix. Not sure if this is the problem with yours though.
