  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

3G iPhone BLENDED at 120fps on RED

"Will it blend" is so done. The joke is old.

Can't wait to see the footage, though!

I saw that and it was just depressing. I mean, it's just a phone and all, but I feel bad. Almost to the point of physical pain- I feel worse if someone behind them missed out because they wanted to blend it.

Still, I got mine, and I'm perfectly happy, with the exception of the fact that I'm about to shut down since I've been going since 9AM eastern Thursday with nothing more than a nap friday afternoon.

Having camped out overnight thursday to friday, and from the early morning for the original version, I can't imagine what it would be like to be next to that man. On one hand, I respect him a great deal and find him entertaining... on the other hand I'd probably never stop staring at him, thinking he must be a twisted, evil person for doing what he does :)

I saw the video on their site, will you be able to post higher res footage? it looked quite good in that slowmo...Incredible how many hits the thing took before the glass finally shattered... and how quickly it went to pieces from there. Was it my imagination, or does that last frame show a reasonably intact portion of the back plate?

yep blend Red, this show is so useless that it in the end and has some sense in nonsense. Um but I dont feel good even to waste iPhone, pure phone

Don't worry too much about the waste or cheating somebody in line. AT&T and Apple were both in on it, and made sure they got a phone out side of the regular line. The whole standing in line part of the video was just for fun.

High res footage in a couple of hours.

And, in what may have been a first, on their first attempt to blend the phone, the phone got caught below the blades and stopped the blender, they had to do a second take. So in my book, the phone won the first round! Strong phone.

Here's the high res video - and yup, the back of the phone really did survive.

Me, RED and a blender:

Rolling shutter artifacts plus such high vibration make the jar look like liquid.

While I do agree that "Will it Blend?" is so done and, well, stupid... The iPhone blended nicely. Hehe.

The motion of the handle was a bit interesting.
