  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone left still on Build 15?

Just wondering if everyone has jumped to Build 16 by now.. or if im not alone waiting for a release :)

Still rockin... waiting for the release build 16. To risky for commercial projects just yet.

I finally did the Jump last night, with open eyes, and have seen (too many) of the reported bugs, even in the last release. BUT I hope to become friends with 16, like I baecame with 15 before the next commercial shoot, so I don't really worry too much. It will be a matter of knowing your do's and don'ts really...

Still 15 here, on both "Lewis" and "Clark." But not because I want to. . . but because 16 came too late for us and we'd already started shooting our film. We'll stay on 15 until the film is in the can.

16 ...15 has it's quirks but overall 16 is running just fine on multiple cameras. As long as I don't shoot that tree in Alabama but that seems fine for that user now also. The problem with 15 is I can't shoot 4K 16:9 without Faults and 16 I just not getting them. I'm very happy with it......

I think that anyone who has clients who have expectations will remain on 15 for the time being, we are staying with 15 until we have reasonable expectations of fidelity. One of the clients was shocked when I opened RedCine to do some small adjustments that they had asked for and saw 'Beta' displayed!

My heart goes out to those guys who updated and had a hard time but I hope it was worth it. I can't wait but have to!

We only just changed over a couple of days ago, all I can say is WOW.
I was like you guys, scared, apprehensive, all of that.
We did the upgrade with heart in mouth.
Did some solid tests and without a lie, it's BETTER, more stable, more advantages, easy to use than 15 over all.

thanks goodness. phew:w00t:

Don't worry lad's it's like going from good to great. bugs are minor, less than 15. you will end up in a better place.

All of our many cameras (except for one in testing) are still on 15. We're waiting until a release build; as well, we have a few shows in productions and have to have backups available within the same workflow they are used to.

Once 16 is released and proven workable we'll likely take the whole lot up to 16 together.

Still 15 here.
I would have tried 16, but the "one-way" nature of the update leaves me no option.
Waiting for the release version.
Cheers,
Harry
