Question for RED TEAM!!! So what is REDCAST?

[Joseph Hutson]

Will RedCast be included with the EPIC, or will that just be a firmware upgrade. From the looks of it, it will be a great tool!:umm:

I cannot wait, and I guess the whole WI-FI ideas are coming together!

RedTeam, when do you think you will be able to launch it? NAB '09???

[Joseph Hutson]

Care to comment RedTEAM?:bye2:

Sorry.

You guys are doing an amazing job, and I can't wait to see what else you all will do!

[Joseph Ward]

Where's RedCast?:help:

[Joseph Hutson]

In the "Red Lab"

[Joseph Hutson]

RedCast is a device that will enable streaming of audio and video material via the internet; broadcasting and transmission of audio and video material via computer and other communication networks; electronic transmission of data, images, documents, video and sound via computer networks; electronic transmission of streamed and downloadable audio and video files via computer and other communications networks for RedUsers.

Cool huh?

[Jeff Kilgroe]

Totally makes sense... Given what they're claiming about RED-RAY and how 4K playback can be achieved in what we can assume to be data sizes and bit-rates comparable to standard DVD.

REDcast could essentially be a 4K variant of the SlingBox that interfaces directly with RED-RAY and potentially RED cameras at some point.

There you go folks... Wild-ass guess of the day.
