Oconnor 2060 or 2575 euro style quick release plate w/120mm mounting plate & screws.

I bought the Oconnor 2060 package from Abel Cine which came with the euro style quick release plate. The Element Technica dovetail fit my needs better with their bridgeplate, so I'm selling the Oconnor plate. List is somewhere around $1,200.
I thought I'd post it up here on Reduser before I put it on Ebay.
Price is $900.

I already have one but I'd jump on it in a second if not.

I don't think ET's baseplate is a replacement for the Europlate, but has additional functionality if you need to be that extra 1/2" lower to the ground. There is a huge advantage in ease, speed and comfort (go scrape yourself with that 18" plate) with the Europlate that's why this has been an industry standard for years and you can't rent an O'Connor without one in a real rental house.

Sean,
I have to use the long Euro-Plate whenever I have a big zoom on my RED.
I even have to take that Euro plate and flip it backwards [with the release facing forward] when I mount my Cooke 18-100mm zoom & an Arri MB-14 mattebox on the camera.
You need that extra bit of length to counterbalance the massive zoom. I have not seen the ET plate you are refering to..so maybe I am speaking incorrectly, but I would heavily advise holding onto that Euro-Plate.

It's a funny thing. I got a few complaints from people when we specced the RED bundle on these heads should include the Euro-plate. But I still agree with Florian & Jeff that it is a useful part of the kit. Who is to say that one day you may wish to use the head with another camera (heaven forbid! ;-))? You can get an 18" dovetail that will allow you a very long range without the need of the Euro-plate, but I can tell you that with every rental we send out the ACs always insist on taking along the Euro-plate just in case. It's a good thing to have.

I agree, the Euro Plate should remain part of the package. What if you want to add a dutch head, etc. We use our Euro plate as much as the ET plate.
I have a couple AC's who refuse to work without the Euro Plate.

BTW- ET makes a longer dovetail for your zooms.
