got my XML, now what?

So I've shot my short on red, 2:1 4k

Made my edits in FCP6, using the H proxies, and I've exported the xml.

Now what do I do? what program do I use to make a 4k video file with my edits?

For a low budget work Crimson is the way to go (or Scratch if you have enough money...).
With Crimson you can construct a Redcine project wity all your cuts in the right order. Just pay attention to the number of edits. If the total exceed 100/130 cuts you have to split your timeline.

When you have over that limit of cuts, the [Redcine] interface does not allow you to navigate and open the _telecine.xml that crimson generates.

As far as I can tell it's a Redcine thing. However bear in mind that Crimson multiplies the total number of 2GB chunks when it creates an intermediate with multiple cuts from the same R3D.
