  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just did a test looking at noise increase as shutter duration increases.

Constant iso 320

Got the same result with build 16 as with build 15 in that the camera is not really useable with exposures of longer than 1/4sec due to excessive noise.

As I do a lot of work using long exposures I had hoped that this build would have enabled me to shoot with 1sec exposures..

Oh well - back to the dslr for this kind of shooting I suppose.

Have you tried doing a new black balance for the long exposure times?

No because its just not practical for me to do this between regular 24fps shots and long exposure shots - I have to work with the best I can get out of the camera at a single black calibration setting.

I use 360° /1FPS (1sec shutter) ,ASA320, 2k 16:9,redcode28, build_16_v3.1.5.

You'll definitely need to calibrate before shooting with 1 second.

How exactly do you so this black calibration for 1sec exposures ?

I've never done it, but I would assume you just change the shutter to the speed you want to shoot at, pop the lens/port cap on and start the black shading from the camera menu.

Remember to do it again at 24fps /180 degree when you switch back.

Exactly!
