Anyone out there using the DELL ULTRASHARP for On-Set monitoring? If you are would you please answer a few questions for me?

1) Are you getting the full menus, histograms, and surround view that the LCD has?
2) Is the 720p Live image pixel for Pixel, or is there some stretching involved?
3) Does Build 16 1080p Playback work?
4) Is the image quality consistent with the RED LCD/EVF?
5) Is the large size a burden to transport?

Here's the direct Link:

I'm just gonna go ahead and BUMP this one to the top of the list and hope for some Monday morning fresh eyes ;)

Hi,

We've never used them on set, but our edit suite uses two 2407WFP monitors and have had the Red One hooked up to them...

Answers I can give (which isn't all, I'm afraid):
1) Yup.
2) Image fits to width in 720p mode (as the monitors are 16:10). In DVI mode, fills entire screen.
3) Pass - we're running B15
4) Not using the Red LCD, but I've seen one in action and the Dell's are - for my money - considerably better in terms of IQ.
5) Don't know, but I'd have thought so ;). Perhaps consider building a custom flightcase for it if that's it's long-term intended use - I doubt it would stand up to life on the road very long on it's own...

Hope that helps,
Dom.

It does help. Thank you, Mr. Jones.
