Any issues with wireless?

My soundman was thinking of putting a wireless receiver on the RED camera to input sound -- just wondering if there were any issues with a wireless transmission screwing up the data recording.

Hi David, had an issue yesterday with a wireless focus assist. 4K 25P, dropframes. It was somehow a bit woodoo, don't know exactly why. When we stopped the wireless receiver, the problem was gone. Never happend with wireless sound receiver.

I'm planning on mounting a Sennheiser EW100 G2 receiver on the Red on the next project. Have any of you successfully feed the Red at line level with the Sennheiser receiver? I can't seem to get the Sennheiser to output at line level, only mic level. In the event I can't feed the Red line level, ho'ws the quality of sending it mic level?

Which one? Bartech, Preston, Scorpio, C-Motion, etc.?

I've had no problems with Preston and C-Motion.

We did an entire feature that way - no issues. We used CF + drives on that.

#1: are you dropping frames in 16x9 4K recode 36 - 25fps? what build - 15 or 16 (if 16 which one)??

#2: how are you running power to the receiver? which receiver is it?

I've done this exact setup before. The Sennheiser is Line Input. You probably need to pump up your "AF out" level on the receiver and "sensitivity" on the transmitter.
