  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stills (rough graded) from a recent fashion shoot on build16 attached.

Jim and team have really outdone themselves with build 16. The usable dynamic range is so much improved. We shot mostly available light with minimal additional lighting- what you see is our initial graded pass from RC, but we have a lot of CGI and additional work before we complete the piece(s).


The shoot went flawless- I think 16 is so much more stable. the noise is less and the image quality is superb.

I hope you all enjoy. we'll post more from other scenes if your interested, then the final motion piece once completed.

Really impressive stuff! To me this demonstrates that this camera is not a limitation to your image quality. Just what's in front of and behind it.
 
A bit more about the project:

The lens was a cooke 18-100 t3. We had a really nice cooke 25-250 MK II waiting in the wings, but this lens worked great for every setup.

Iris range in shots was t3 - t8, outdoors on the beach scene and patio location we used a Pancro mirror ND- fantastic ND that kept all of the designer's textiles and coloration extraordinarily true.

The project is for fashion legend Zandra Rhodes, an amazing designer and creative spirit. It was an incredible opportunity to collaborate with her.

We still have another shoot in the mountains with her and her team and the same model at the end of next month. The concept behind that shoot should produce some incredible images and story.

Very cool. Like it a lot.
It makes me wanna go out and shoot some fashion stuff.
So at my next fashion still shooting I'll have also my RED with me and take some shots.
