All RED shots were shot alongside a 35mm camera so the 35mm footage was used to keep the continuity. No reason to use RED footage and none of it was. BUT the RED footage was reported to look as good as the 35mm.
Yes, I understand that they were shot alongside each other. And if they got the two to match visually, why not use some Red footage? I know there was an issue with the frame ratio, but in his original reply, Jon Farhat mentioned that they were still trying to intercut with Red footage.
Are you certain nothing made it in? I haven't seen anything concrete on the subject, outside of this thread.
I'm curious about the aspect ratio, too. It seems to me that there must have been a way to match the 2:1 Red to the 16:9 S35. In any case, the project is still a very interesting and exciting collaboration.
