Hi Guys,

I upgraded to build 16 before I got my EVF and then happily connected it the other day.

I have a problem. When I pan with it the image jitter, especially where the highlights are. I've used the EVF before and didn't notice this problem? Is this a build 16 issue?

I'm sorry if it's been discussed elsewhere but I've searched and haven't found again (I'll have to blame redusers search engine :sarcasm: )

I have not made a bill with RED yet since I thought I wanted to hear if this is a known Issue (I'm also hoping I don't have to part with it, now that I finally have it :) ).

Thanks,

Fredrik Callinggard

Have you tried changing the EVF refresh from synched to fixed?
And the upgrade might have reset the refresh rate to 59.95 instead of 50 (which will introduce judder, If you shoot 25 fps)

Hi Anders,

Yes I have :waaa:

I was trying all different frame project settings etc, but I'll continue today.

By the way it's not flickering, just so you know. The image is fine when the camera is still - it's more of a jittering when panning. As if it's a ghost image in the background snapping after the original (or something like that)

Its because the EVF is in FIXED, which means that it is refreshing at 60Hz using 3:2 pulldown. Change the REFRESH to SYNCED and you will be back to Build 15 default condition (at the expense of luminance flutter - thats the trade off between these two modes)

But if you set the EVF Refresh to 50hz In 25fps Euroland and fixed mode, isn't it applying a 2:2 pulldown instead?
