Recently I combined my two favorite passions of filmmaking and soccer(futbol). The LA Galaxy organization has graciously granted us media access to demo/direct the RED and possibly Phantom cameras as a passion project. We will cut a spot together for them as well as explore the idea of MLS films ala NFL films but with more edge.
We've already shot one game.
We shot build 16, Cooke S4 15-40,Optimo 24-290, 1.4 extender, Redcode 28(to maximize fps), 2k,3k,4k and 2:1(also to maximize fps). We did have two crashes at 3k-60fps.
Here is a sample pre game clip. I can't show any game footage because it is owned by the MLS. However I can promise we did get some great footage and great access.

We have a few more games coming up and I really want to get more LA RED cameras/owners involved if possible. I'm looking for anyone that would be interested in coming out for a few hours to lens up David Beckham and possibly create MLS films or at least something for the reel. I would pair you up with one of ours to help shoot/AC. It would be a team effort. We are taking an interesting approach. Long lenses encouraged.
The next game is July 4th and there will also be a firework show in the stadium to shoot afterwards.
PM me if you have any interest and any links of interest(reels, package, etc.). It will be a good time, great setting/content, and always great to meet other peeps.
