Want to go with redrock stuff but not sure i want to wait for a 19mm adaptator for ages.

Any advices ?

Cinetech makes a single side for $1800 I think.

They are really good quality.

Zacuto makes a 15mm to 19mm adaptor. They call it the Jeep. It is around $260. You can buy a Red Rock, Zacuto or other FF and adapt it to 19mm rods.

If you can deal with using a 15 to 19 adaptor like the Zacuto Jeep of a more basic unit like Chrosziel's, then the new lightweight Arri unit for the EX-1 is pretty amazing. We showed it at NAB & CineGear and the first production units will be shipping from us in a few weeks. Great stuff and definitely the best, most versatile follow focus for under $2K out there.

Hi Mitch what is your opinion of the Zacuto FF? If I got it, I would use it with Zeiss Superspeeds and the Red Zoom.

We sell it and it is a nice unit. It is not as adjustable as the Arri unit, but it is also considerably less expensive. If you plan to use it with still camera lenses then I would suggest getting the fat gear (my suggestion to Zacuto to build) so that you can keep connection to the lens as it expands. Otherwise the standard gears are fine.

yeah i am considering between the redrock and the zacuto, what is the best for the red zoom?

I am currently using the Redrock ff and a a Chrosziel 19mm to 15mm light weight adaptor, it is okay considering the sub $1000 price all in.
Of course, it is one sided only, but for me it is an intrim solution while waiting for the Viewfactor pro system to deliver.

Karl

I have both, the Zacuto and the Redrock FF. The Zacuto is definitely better, but also more expensive.
