  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RELEASED: BETA REDCINE, BUILD 108 (v3.0.8)

Now I have single frame issue exporting to QT H.264
First frame is stuck and written all the way to the end.
Was fine with RC 106

Wow, there are so many new things in the lastest redcine and redalert I have to ask...
Will we be seeing additional documentation, howto's, or videos? I think this is necessary, specially with the new colorspaces and redalert functionality(Avid options, Automator actions, Qmaster integration...).
I also have to vote on the previous suggestion of a Redspace white paper. You have talked about how it's better and easier but now you have to explain it so we can take its full advantage :)

ok qmaster isn't new but I haven't found much info on it.

Thanks for fixing the 25fps import :)

Andrew, try trashing your preferences. I found I had this problem before when I updated to a new version of RedCine. Simply trashing my prefs sorted it.

What are the chances of getting back the Avid DV codec for quicktime output?

This is a essential part of our Avid workflow.

Is the fastest way out of Redcine that we have found. It is realtime or faster depending on what machine we are using.

Redcine is also twice the speed of Scratch saving out SD Avid DV files, but not without the codec :(

REDCINE is released now to give >90% support to our customers. We are working as fast as we can to address the last <10%.

Thanks for the update. Can someone create a sticky that says what RedCine improvements have tested okay, and which are still being worked out? That would help eliminate users posting the same question over and over, like the ISO change issue. That would be in the pending pile. Thanks.

Thank you for help.
You mean deleting RDCINE data directory and starting from scratch or I have to do something in the menus?

Are there any plans to ever have RedCine work with RSX files? It would be extremely useful to be able to import a bunch of shots into RedCine, and have grading info saved out to RSX files in those shots' folders. From there, a simple script could just feed everything into RedLine/Qmaster and render out with correct grading.

This would be great!
