  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scratch and build 16?

Scratch should be able to support Build 16 footage by the time Build 16 goes to stable release.

Hi Jarred,

as educated guess, will the 16 beta take rather weeks, a good month or several months?

I suppose thats pretty important for planning the fullfeatures this summer.

Hi Fredrik,

Just want to correct this for any other SCRATCH users reading this - B16 is *not* supported on SCRATCH yet.

Some elements of the new color work that RED has done have been implemented, but that doesn't do anybody any good until the rest of the B16 bits and pieces are implemented.

What hardware do you recommend with the scratch software, I know you guys are in the "lab" a lot and wondered if you offered a system?

Yes. However a beta version of the software is required. If you need support, I suggest contacting your local Assimilate rep or Lucas (Luki) on the board here.

I believe there will not be an officially b16 supported Scratch release until b16 itself goes full release.

So Build 16 is a release build. I'd really really really love to see scratch come out with support for build 16 footage. Hopefully by tomorrow? Have a project that was shot on build 16 from a client that needs some color love stat. What's the word on the scratch node? I noticed the beta was taken off of the red website. Does that mean that a release build is forthcoming?
 
If you're a Scratch customer I'm sure you can get a beta build very quickly from Lucas or your local sales rep. I believe the release version is right around the corner, but it is not yet available.

SCRATCH has supported B16 for awhile now, but only available to beta customers. But there are a lot of those. :)

An official Release Build that supports B16 is coming out very soon.
