Hi,

During my last production the video output signal and stored footage of the RED camera turned green as we went from the hot outside (35C) into the cold inside (25C).

I powered the RED down as we wrapped outside and took it to our next location. The setup inside took us about 30mins as I powered up the RED for shooting, all displayed images (RED-LCD & external HDMI monitor) as well as the recorded images from outside had a heavy green tint

I double checked the menu settings but everything appeared normal, I tried rebooting the camera several times but nothing changed... So I just shut it down and waited for a couple of hours, checking every once in a while.

Approximately 4h after transferring the camera to the 10C colder location it "decided" to return to its normal state.

Has anybody else had equal experiences or might there be a problem with the that RED model. The camera is running on Build 15.

I remember similar issues with the first generation of the DVX 100A...
Hoping for some feedback
cheers

Ive found that from time to time the tint setting will ghost. Some cameras do it more often than others.

sensor>colortemp>tint

if you take the footage into redalert is the tint setting a little wonky?
it should be easily altered in the raw settings, back to default.

Hi Ryan,

thanks for the hint. Indeed the tint value was set to 61. After putting it back on default the footage looked just fine.

Thanks a lot
cheers

I hope that one or both of you have reported this problem to RED. I think that sometimes the answer can be had here at REDUSER but it's still very important for you or the rental house to report this to RED with a support ticket.
