"Scott Adkins a badass. The kickboxer can fight like hell, and he has done so in a lot of movies, from direct-to-video gems like “Undisputed II” and “Undisputed III”, to big screen hits like “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “The Bourne Supremacy”. It is now confirmed that he will reteam with Jean-Claude Van Damme for the upcoming Jcvd vehicle “Weapon”, about a pair of rival assassins forced to form an uneasy alliance. The two originally appeared together in 2008, when Adkins played Van Damme’s nemesis in “The Shepherd: Border Patrol”. Set to start shooting in Romania next month, the picture is being produced by Sony Home Entertainment, which means that it will go straight to the home market. That doesn’t automatically count against it, since a lot of my favorite recent action movies popped up in the Dtv realm. Vinnie Jones is also cast, and Ernie Barbarash (“Cube Zero” and “Stir of Echoes”) will direct."
