  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can it be record 4K 16:9 and ANA in REDCODE 36 ?

I am hearing REDCODE will be 100MB/s in 2009.

The frame rate restriction for CF cards with REDCODE 36 is a result of the CF card bandwidth not the camera's.

So if you need 16 x9 aspect, shoot 4K to RED-DRIVE, or 4K at REDCODE 28 or 3K at REDCODE 28 or 36 to CF.

Any chance that build 16 will support 16:9 @ 4k redcode 36 at 29.97fps?
Right now I'm having to use redcode 28.

Hey Stu.

Why not have a 5 slot CF module on RED body to support the CF cards Bandwidth issue ?

Even we may have 2K uncompressed DPX files ?

I`d go for a lossless flavour of wavelet compression with that system :turned: :turned: :turned: :turned: , get it packed better!

Hello Mr. T, ( M Way )

D21 or even Dalsa can meet your requirement in 2K D21 or 4K Origin to output uncompressed image files to be recorded on both Codex UK made or S.two US amde Digital Field recorders.

I met them in long time ago in Ams and Paris.
