Recently got my Lomo standards back from Duclos. They did a fantastic job, and I am very pleased with the work.

Thanks

Nick

Including the cost of the lens, PL mounts, and total rebuild by Duclos, I averaged about $1,100 per lens.

Amazing price.

Boy, looks like Duclos did a great job. Those look like new lenses. How are they working mechanically?

I feel dirty after viewing this porn.

hi

nice lenses (got the same set, in superspeed, plus the 75mm 1.6 and 200mm f2.8), i've only used them on my dof adapter and they are still nice)

Which versions of the 22mm and the 100mm do you have...
I've never been able to find the 22mm f1.4 and the 100mm f2 (12-100-1) so i guess I'm curious...

btw, there was the rarest of all lomos -14mm f1.5- on ebay two hours ago in a package with a kinor camera
for those who didn't spend all their money in a red...

Hi Baddack,

All the lenses in this set are standard speeds. I have a set of the Ekran speeds (28,35,50,75) as well. The 22 is pretty rare.

Yeah I saw the Ekran 14mm on ebay. The guy was really not into selling the lenses without the camera. Ekran became Optika Elite and they still make a 14mm. It's strange, there are two Ekran style housings. The ones that look exactly like the lomo's, and the ones that look newer. I have seen the old style from '91 and the new style from '90. I wonder if it was an export version?

Just wondering Nick - did you pick up these lenses on ebay from different sellers? What did Duclos do to them - adjustment, cleaning and gear?

We sprinkle Magic Restoration Dust on all the lenses that come into our shop. The recipe for Magic Restoration Dust is a family secret. (applies only to cine style lenses. not intended for persons under 18 years of age. external use only. for emergency help due to inhalation of Magic Restoration Dust, please contact your local vacuum cleaner repair man.)

I have only one with the newer built, it's very very pleasant, from 91 too.

I guess it was just the R&D lenses that ekran built knowing they were changin name and quality... ??
you may ask Olex, on his website

hijacking the question but personnaly, i bought a 4 lenses set from Anatoly on ebay, 28, 35, 50, 75 are not that rare, either on superspeed or standard speed, and the other four, 18, 22, 100, 200, when i found them I bought them instantly.

This set I bought as a set, they were with a new old stock Kinor 35. The busted 20-120 you got from me came from the same set. The speeds I bought separately, but still as a set. All the serial #s are within a few #s of each other.

Duclos said that they completely stripped cleaned and lubed them.....but apparently, they just sprinkle dust on them and surf the Red forum. I made the gears my self.

Now Matthew, go sprinkle some of that stuff on my 25-80 zoom and send it back already ;-) (Gardner Films in Baltimore)

Workin on it. I've got a 15-40 Optimo completely dis-assembled on my bench right now. One would think that my presence on this forum would exhibit a lack of productivity... Part of my job is handling the "web community" and answering emails. Maybe I should turn off the "new message" notification from RedUser.net.

Back to work ;)
