A strange thing happened during camera testing today. Following a day's shooting yesterday, when we started up the camera the image we saw on the lcd was totally skewed, with a weird display of colours, plenty of magenta.

We checked the LCD connection, but everything was fine. We could see all the menus and readouts properly - seemed to be a sensor problem. After rebooting a few times to no avail, we tried several black shadings and reboots - and the problem was solved.

Very strange issue. The camera was functioning perfectly only hours before that. It was in its case right up until we took it out to test, not in any adverse storage conditions.

Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what might be behind it? My last posting was about strange colour shifts - perhaps our RED has some sort of sensor issue?

Check Tint value in Redcine (or in Redalert). Reset to zero.
One possible cause could be an accidental push of the Auto White Balance button (I've experienced the same problems some times).
Once you reset the tint (or the WB) in RC/RA accordingly to your shot all the things coming the right way (at least in my experience)...

Yeah that was the first thing we double checked. It didn't respond to any adjustments with the color settings in camera. The only thing that seemed to affect it was the black shading.
