  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Used RED!

How much are you asking for it?

I hope to God that was used to film two girls mud wrestling in 4K. Otherwise, it's a damn shame if that camera was lost!

I'm still laughing... But in all seriousness, I hope it cleaned up OK. It really doesn't look THAT bad. I'd be most concerned about the LCD screen, front element on the lens (I sure hope their was a pola or flat front on there!) and potential leakage around the mount itself.

But like I said before, gotta cover the camera. I shoot a lot of corporate stuff, industrial, mining, construction, etc.. I've been around heavy construction all my life, most people don't believe me when I start rambling off stories about the stuff I've seen get wrecked and screwed up.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt... Then it's just downright hilarious!

There is going to be a lot of this. Red is a cheap crash camera and will get used as one. Big FX/stunts often cost 10X or more then what a red costs so throwing a red camera with a cheaper lens in precarious situations will become quite common place.

Agree. But... Somehow I don't think that was the case here. No visible attempt was made at protecting the camera and the rigging of the camera in no way suggests it was intended for what happened... LCD and CineTape don't support that speculation either.

But RED as a crash cam and FX cam? You-betcha... Although, I doubt anyone is going to take the risk until their RED can be replaced without the long wait.

Anyway, I'm curious about what they were shooting and what happened -- I need something more to laugh at.
