I love New York because as a DP you can build a reputation with the shots you steel while the cops aren't looking.

I had the pleasure of shooting a small fashion piece for Fly Magazine.
Working with director Noam Griegst and Trump model Milagros Schmoll,
we shot run and gun on the Staten Island ferry, in china town and around downtown. With a wonderful crew and cast.
Fly is now shooting everything they can on Red. So am I.
Many thanks to Trillpix. I was shooting for the loop just like they told me! ;)

Ian -

Very Nice. You should really take your camera out more often.

I think all that coding is becoming a bad habit.

Besides, do you really think it's that important to add Sony Vegas support to Crimson?

I mean ... when Assimilate releases Scratch Cine-Mini in association with laguun for $188.99 - Crimson will be RENDERED OBSOLETE. (and I am pretty sure that will make your irrelevant)

As your biggest fan, and the guy who cheered you on from day one (and even named Red Trip) - I just want to say - you should get the Crimson 1.0 version to the masses and then ... CLOSE YOUR TERMINAL.

Shoot movies.

After all, filmmaking is a much more stable, logical, simple and honest business that the world of software development.

PS - now might be a good time to let all your Crimson customers know that during JULY - Crimson support might suffer a bit ... as you will be on-location shooting your first feature -

LOL! and by that I mean I am literally laughiing out loud.

I have to say that Mark L. Pederson is a great friend to have. Whether he bought Scratch, Scratcheeny, or Scratcheenymeeny. He's still the man. (Helps if you have a thick Italian accent).

I have no response. Crimson is not stopping. It's about to rule. That is all I have to say. I'm a dude that spent a decade building a carreer as a DP. It's true. It just happens that I have a compulsive coding habit that started on the Commodore 64. I can't kick either habit. Sorry. I exist. You'll have to deal. ;)

Beautiful pictures Ian.

I disagree with Mark. I think its important to find balance in the everyday. Some people choose coding & shooting, others, basketball & coin collecting.

Keep rocking man.

Great pics Ian. Milagros looks friggin' great as a brunette. Lest anyone think only Brazil produces these types of beauties, Argentina does too.
and Ian, don't you dare stop what you've been doing...code away.

rockin it "run-n-gun" style!

I am at home right now checkin in on me renders going on 2 quad core machines at work. I love remote machine control. Just moved to a new house, don't even have my own internet yet, stealing from someones house nearby surfin da net and checkin in on my remote batch conversions...:O

Hey Mark, shut the fuck up!! :-) :-) I need Crimson to keep going!

gosh Ian, I'm not sure if I'm more jealous of your coding initiative or your DP skills, either way you are one bad ass motherfucker.

Rock on, Ian!

Outstanding humour of yours, marc. A truly intelligent, necessary and certainly constructive comment.

We bought crimson, and it is a nice tool. We, and a good dozen of customers here however want still better, faster and/or more inexpensive workflows.

There are those of us, who do have to have 8 or more DI/NLE seats streamlined, and who, as shocking that might sound, do prefer, operate or own somewhat more powerful systems than the 2 redcode native products available so far.

back to topic:
beautiful shots indeed!
Once we are up to 4 or 5 red one cameras, i cant wait to finally have some playing time to infiltrate berlins photo fashion-shooters. I think the red one has a great potential in a "mis"-use for photography.

Amazing pictures Ian!

Its all about beauty, Crimson or fashion models.

Maybe once in a life you should try to get a job as a director on a movie...

You have a great eye Ian!

It's all about achieving that balance of tech geek-ery and creative artistry... You've got it. :)
