  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

50-150 lens .. anyone got one.. what number are they up to ?

don't know the number there are up to but the are a long way off from getting here as I am told

metric or imperial

metric or imperial

just got email notice that 50-150 is ready !!

Did you get the metric or the imperial lens ?

Have fun with your lens and let us know what you think of it.

Cheers, Tim.

No way! This is the first, in-print evidence of this lens' possible real existence that I am aware of! Thank you, thank you, thank you Donatello for breaking the code of silence surrounding the 50-150!

Donatello, it would be very stimulating to see a picture of the 50-150 on your Red, when you receive it. Just some proof that it actually exists.

oh, it exists. Saw, touched and zoomed with one at RED.
You guys seem to lack faith... And patience....we've waited and come this far with RED, keep truckin'. I believe they have proven themselves and deserve it, not skepticism....

For the record, I never lost faith, have been extremely patient, and have not been skeptical at all. I was just very very happy to hear that someone who wasn't in the single digits was getting theirs, and that someday hopefully soon I will get mine too. I really need this range (50-150), and have been happy overall with my 18-50, which actually has much smoother controls than the ones Red was showing at NAB. The compactness of these zooms is a big help for a lot of uses; I have been jonesing for the 50-150 as the closest thing I have to that range is my Angenieux 20-120, which is actually quite good but BIG.

Thanks Shawn, for adding confirmation. There has been a dearth of proof of shipping; if the 200's are starting to get theirs as you say, I say WOO-HOO!

Remember Donatello has camera number #103 he's been waiting along time for his 50-150. I got to use a prototype at LART and loved it much more over the 18-50.

Glad there kicking into delivery!!!!

Does it look like the 18-50, or like the New lenses?
