  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ian Bloom to speak at RED L.A. User Group

Actually, I thought Ian was quite entertaining at the NAB RedUser group meeting in Vegas. He was so low key about Crimson, almost apologizing for it, it was fun to watch. Everyone in the room was pulling for him and thought he had created one of the greatest bits of software, and there he was saying, "You can buy it, if you want, but I'm just some dude who has other things going on". He received a rousing round of applause afterwards. Ian, YOU the man!

He was the first coder to get his product out....says more then alot of other folks. Myself and Mike Burton have had the chance of working with him on multiple Red workflow projects back in March. Great Guy!

Alot of Pro folks would have to explain alot more then they have to know because of Ian so Piss off!

Now in the scope of Red a year from now Crimson might be irrelevant but he's smart and will no doubt be integrated into some digital cinema company....

Rough crowd - Don't pay any attention Ian - keep up the great work. These guys are the same schmucks that can't show an ounce of footage with the exception of their cat licking its self and a flower shot through the back screen door... all the while bitching and complaining about everything because they can... why? because they have all the time in the world - no one will ever hire them.

Nick.

I hope you guys know I was kidding and referring to the second post. Hence my wink. Trust me, I have high regard for Ian. But he already knows that. Sorry if I threw you guys off there.

Who cares??!

Ian Bloom is an excellent speaker choice for all those who are interested in post production. His Red Trip and later Crimson have bridged an otherwise unsurmountable post workflow gap.

I would also like to encourage RedFriend and everyone else to suggest who they would like to see at future RED Los Angeles User Group meetings.

Let's keep that discussion out of the workflows. I created a new thread here:
