  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This makes me sick!

Understandable though... Most items are probably returned by retailers / distributors due to defect or damage. They don't wan the products recirculating, so they damage them beyond repair and then send to recycling.

This is plainly stupid. I`ve seen so many of broken parts as small as those switches and dials, you could use those parts at workshops or rental houses. But stop. They want to make cash with those stuff, too...

Don't they have a better way of destroying their gear, other than using hammers???

It is all about money, not technology, art or image.

For something to be declared a total loss for insurance, it means that the parts cannot be used by that owner. If the insurance company chose to take possession of that gear and part it out then they could, but clearly it was not worth the effort to them to do so. So I'm sure the contractual directive to Canon (or more specifically the importer) was to destroy everything completely.

That's commerce.
