Just Add RED...

Honestly I am a little bummed. I have been collecting a set of nice Canon FD lenses for some time now. I begin photography on an indie feature in less than a week and now after talking it through with the director, we are going to lens up with a zoom due to the extremely tight schedule. There honestly just inst enough time to shuffle through prime lenses on most days. I am selling this to help pay for a zoom hire/purchase. I am sad...:bye2:

Everything listed is great condition. (The lenses are not new of course, but the gears, FD mount and pelican case are 100% new)

note:
Canon FD lenses focus the "correct" way like cine glass!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Muse electronics FD Mount for the Red (kmuse)
- Excellent piece of gear, better machining than Red's nikon mount. Mount is black and features the proper metal leaf for control of aperture on the FD lens.

FD to Nikon mount adapter (high quality)
- No installation time- it just locks onto the FD mount and you can shoot with nikon mount lenses in literally seconds. (keeps back focus too)

(New All Black versions of Canon FD mount lenses, and hand picked, these are not the older silver twist lock versions, and the lenses show no signs of blemish on the glass elements or haze or fungus all of the barrels focus smoothly too. Note the 50mm f1.2!)

(all lenses have removable 0.8 pitch gears on them)

20mm f2.8
28mm f2.8
50mm f1.2
85mm f1.8
200mm f2.8

Nestled all inside of a pelican 1500 Case (brand new case)

I will try to take some pictures later today.

So if you have a Red body (or have one on order) but your not sure about lenses yet. This is the deal for you. Just add Red to this and your ready to shoot!

$2600 plus shipping from 97056 USA for the whole package or best offer.
(I dont want to break this up at this time thanks)

Hi Hunter,

That's a nice package. Have you considered getting a couple of FD zooms for just this project? I myself much prefer primes, but if swapping out primes is gonna impact your shooting schedule, I guess your going to have to go the zoom route.

Just an idea as it doesn't sound like you have much time to get this accomplished.

I considered a canon FD zoom lens, but there inst a particular FD zoom that would work for me, the focal length range on most FD zooms favor the tele-end, I am looking more for a "one lens fits all" focal length range on this (like an 18-50 or 18-100) and something T3 or faster. If I could find an FD zoom that covered those focal lengths and was f2.8 though out- that would be nice. I don't think I will find one in time so Im just going to hire a PL zoom for this one in particular. If only we weren't shooting 50 pages a day... (were not really shooting 50 pages a day... but you get the idea)

Well if you were shooting 50 pages a day, it would be a cheap (short term) rental!

Your right about the choice of short zooms, there really isn't too much to choose from.

The only thing I can suggest would be two zooms, the 20mm - 35mm f3.5 and a 35mm - 70mm f2.8. These would cover your focal lengths, but are perhaps a bit slower than your T3 requirement at the short end.

Best of luck on this one!

Kevin
