Hello all,
Here is my situation. I just finished a red music video. Our work flow - convert to prores HQ and edit in FCP. For the most part the video will only be seen on SD TV, perhaps High-def as well. No problems there.
My problem is that the artist wants to do a video release party at our local cinema. They have booked the grand screen equipped with a Barco DP100 2k projector.
I don't have any experience with high end digital projection; but it is my understanding that the projector will require a DCI-compliant jpeg2000 file. Are there currently any software solutions available for this type of encoding? Or will I have to take it to a DI facility (any idea what the cost would be for a 5 minute video)
Other solutions or workarounds welcomed.
Thanks!!
