Has anyone run the Red camera through a Tricaster? I'm not sure how to get the feed from the Red to the Tricaster. The Tricaster accepts SDI and Composite signals. I've got an ET Breakout box, but not getting any signal in the Tricaster.

Thanks for the advice.

its about the frame rate you need to be on 29.97 fps i dont thing the tricaster will accept 23 or anything else

oh and is it the HD tricaster?

No, it's not the HD tricaster, it's the SD one. However, I ran an HVX200 (1080p signal) into it and it down samples the video to SD, which is fine. With the Red it's not even receiving a signal even after changing it to 29.97.

I have a feeling that it's because it's not recognizing the HD-SDI signal coming from the ET box. The Tricaster probably only accepts SDI. Could I go from HDMI to SDI?

Actually, I think it's better to go HDMI to composite (RCA). Sorry, I'm talking to myself. You are watching a problem being solved in action. lol.

I think you need to retime the signal out of RED to 29.97

if you get a aja IO HD or matrox mxo/mxo2 that might be the way to go, not the cheapest but should work...I think
