  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Any one see REDROCK mattebox

studiodrome - we are getting some feedback shortly from Red users, so we should have some info on lens coverage. On the shade, it's a swing-away, so I assume that's what you are referring to?

(oop sorry for the delay - I must have missed your post) - the matte box does support 5.65" filters. We haven't yet made the filter trays. If you are in a short term need the microMatteBox is compatible with other filter trays that are 5.65"

We are still deep in delivery on the microMatteBox with the current 4x4/4.565" dual filter trays, so we don't have an ETA on the larger filter tray sizes yet

Dear Brian,

I want to order just the flag kit (a top and a bottom french flag and the two side flags).

Do I have to place a reservation just for that? Would it take long to get the items after placing an order - since I'm not ordering the mattebox itself?

So I can buy a filter tray like an Arri or this B&S tray (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/494119-REG/Birns_Sawyer_116019_116019_5_65_x_5_65_.html) and it will fit? I would still need to buy another stage if I wanted to have a three stage mattebox, correct?

I was specifically told that Arri MB20 trays would fit. I would not expect that trays for other matteboxes or brands would. I have found in the past that they are generally not interchangeable.

Can't wait to get my mattebox! Any idea if buyers can get an estimate of where they are in line? Or should we all expect to get our orders no later than 60 days after placing an order?
 
Hi all

We are just waiting for the enhanced post-NAB versions to roll off the line before we ship more matte boxes. To keep everyone informed, we will post to reduser (in addition to our own forums) and let folks know as we progress through the three groups: golden ticket holders, reservation holders, and all other orders

Hey Brian, is there any way to get an extra stage without the 4x5.65 filter tray? I now need to get an extra stage for my polarizer, but need to buy a 5.65x5.65 Arri tray and I don't need the extra tray that's included with the stage. Could you make this an option in the store? (at least until you offer a 5.65x5.65 tray!)

We'll consider that. In the meantime, I am sure you'd have no problem selling the tray if you are really pressed for time and can't wait.
