We have just finished principle photography on 'Splintered' which is ,we believe, the first full feature length project shot on RED in the UK! This is a low budget Indie horror flick with a great cast and fantastic crew and RED has enabled us to get great images. Here's a couple of BTS photo's. I hope to post some graded Tiff's from the film once we get the OK from the Producer.

Love to see some clips as well...especially low-light scenes!

Funny thing low light, decided to use HMI's throughout - no tungsten and rated night at 320 where possible, some at 400, overexposed a flatter image so we could crush the noise out with increased contrast/curve manipulation ... just like any HD I've shot previously ... but with greater flexibility and immediacy of grading ... and exceptional image quality. The trailer is doing the rounds at Canne presently and has Pathe and Highpoint interested.

I'll ask for the OK to release the trailer here.

Mike C after 6 weeks of night shooting and still doing night pick up scenes!

Thats great Mike. Congratulations! I look forward to hearing more about your experiences. Is that Mr B Oliver I spy in the 3rd photo?

Patric

Indeed Patric,

Mr Oliver is in fine form... look forward to wrap cocktails on Friday!

Hi Mike, congrats with this. As you know I'm in Cannes and I can confirm it's in Highpoints print materials, I saw for myself yesterday.

So it looks more than 'interest'. Can't wait to see some grabs ;)

Thought I'd post this seeing as Mike helped us test our camera setup and the director is an old mate, but I'm nothing to do with the film unfortunately. I was asked if I'd like to visit the set several times but work got in the way of that :angry03:

Anyway, here's the trailer...

Cinematography looks fantastic Mike, you should be proud.

Looks great! Love how they got RED right in the title. Don't know what a "Splinte" is though...:w00t:
