Step-up rings to 80mm OD to unify set of nikons?

Does anyone know of where I can purchase a set of step-up rings to make each of my Nikon lens have a 80mm outside diameter? RP Lens sells them as part of their package of lenses, but not alone. This will allow for fast lens changes without having to change the donut on the mattebox.

Hi Nick,

While not Nikon specific, you can purchase general purpose step up rings for this task.

As an example, a 72mm to 82mm one (should be close enough to 80mm to use) can be found at BH Photo:

Determine the sizes you need and search accordingly. Should be no problem at all to get all you will need.

Thanks for the response Kevin. As simple as it may seem, it is not as easy as you mention. Step up rings not made for matte boxes are measured by the thread diameter of each side, not the outside diameter of the end facing the matte box. There are a few from Century optics, but not in the thread diameter of many of my Nikon lenses. Again, thanks for your response.

They also have the metal lens hoods like RPlens, I just dont know what the O.D. is on the hoods (you would need to measure it)

I used some 55mm to 77mm step up rings and they work great in my matte box. the Outer diameter of a 77mm ring is almost 80mm exactly.
