You cant import transitions and superimposition... into color. It's a 1 track V1 only tool.

I can say now our post-production workflow (FCP proxies - Crimson - Redcine - Dpx) works really well both on macbook pro with tiger and on 8 core mac pro with leopard. Both systems run quicktime 7.4.5.

then what do you do with the DPX then ?

Need some secondary color grading my friend ?

That is correct. Color, as was Final Touch before it, is a basic, cuts only conforming tool. Any effects you want to create must be prerendered.
