I came across this cool article so I figured I'd share. Basically, Seagate has announced that they are aiming to release a 300 TB (terabit, not terabyte) drive by 2010. Thats equal to about 37.5 terabytes... which is still massive:blink: Especially considering currently their biggest drive is 750GB. Sounds great to hold large 4k files out of the RedOne. It will be interesting to see what the price will be at when it's released.

...by which point 30TB of space will probably be considered insufficient anyway.

Just earlier I was thinking that 5TB might not be enough storage for my home server. I think within two years that will definately be the case.

The article was written almost a year and a half ago... Jan 2007. I wonder what has changed since then?

but the ever increasing issue is how to find things you`ve stored somewhere. right now I`m spending more and more time to find things.
